About us
Trauma disrupts, disintegrates, and severs our sense of self. We believe women need a space for hope and an empowered, embodied, and free life.
We support women as they take their next step toward healing and wholeness within a faith-forward community.

We provide women with bi-weekly support groups at a secure location during the spring, summer and fall seasons.
We use multimedia, educational resources to train volunteer leaders and to empower women.
We believe that leadership requires discipleship. We believe true healing is intrinsically tied to inviting other women into healing and wholeness.
Empowering women with holistic and healing practices as well as connecting them to outside, professional resources when needed.
We are a faith based, women led support group, designed to help women heal from various forms of sexual abuse. The nature of these forms of abuse, is that they make the person enduring them, feel alone. We want women to heal, in a community, where isolation crumbles and relationships can flourish.
Like others, my life has been shaped by highs and lows. The obvious “low” was my recurring experience in childhood with sexual harm. It took almost two and a half decades of my life for me to make sense of the harm that was done to my body and my brain and my soul.
The effects of that harm were not simply extensive–they were all-consuming, from an unhealthy identity to trigger responses that made me feel emotionally unreliable as a spouse, to name a few.
What finally broke through the darkness of that confusion was confiding in my sister, a witness, an advocate, and a fellow pilgrim on this journey.
There, my pain was met by two sources even greater than the presence of my trauma: sisterhood and God.
It was sisterhood that the lies of isolation were dismantled. It was sisterhood that all the disparate pieces of my being began to be knit back together.
During that season, I knew that I would simply have to create something when the time was right. That season came in in when I decided to leave my full-time job as a teacher.
